Nigerian political class, after more than  a decade of democratic practice and in the pursuit of real democracy as spearheaded by President Goodluck Jonathan seems not to have Learnt the lessons from the past .

Democracy entail tolerance to objective ideals and criticism. This has been the hallmark of the present administration. Under President Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria witnessed the worst atrocity and violations of human Rights. Ironically, the same Obasanjo is at the fore front of skirmishes aimed at tarnishing the good records of President Jonathan.

The condemnable National Assembly barricade by the Police has nothing to do with the presidency. We condemn in strong terms the actions of both the police & the lawmakers”if not lawbreakers” for their ridicule of our nationhood.

We support the presidential & the Senate committee to investigate and appropriately meet out sanctions to all found guilty of the fracas.

The on-going impeachment spearheaded by the APC & its army of indecorous lawbreakers will be strongly resisted by us.

Any attempt to commence the APC’s impeachment threat will be an invitation to lawlessness . we remind the National Assembly to note that none of them has the sovereignty. Sovereignty belongs to the people to which no member of the National Assembly can arrogate or deeogarate from.

The re- election of President Good luck Jonathan is not a do or die affair but if the APC does not change its approach of pull down syndrome, we may have no option than to pull them down. Politics should be played with civilized decorum.
