Attah Igala Lauds Dr. Idris Omede’s Positive Contributions in Health Sector

Attah  Igala and Chairman Kogi Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty Idakwo Michael Ameh Oboni 11 has commended the contributions of Dr. Idris Omede in the health sector of the country.
The royal father made this known when the Council of Association of Professional Bodies of Nigeria (APBN) led by its President, Dr Omede Idris fnma, paid him a courtesy visit at his palace in Idah, Kogi State.
The APBN President, also a Past President of Nigerian Medical Association (NMA), used the occasion to congratulate the Attah Igala, the Igala traditional and Kogi traditional councils for the royal ascension to the thrones. He appealed to them, to continually encourage peace and security in their domain as a panacea for sustainable growth and development.
The President emphasized that royal fathers being the custodian of people’s culture, traditions, and value, they play very significant role in moulding the society to greater, productive and generally  acceptable level.
Dr Omede Idris, a former Commissioner of Health in Kogi state, stated that as professionals they are bothered and keen in the well being of Nigerians through gainful professional engagement and productivity in the overall interests of Nigerians.
He called on the Attah Igala and other royal leaders to continue to play their fatherly, advisory, objective and courageous roles for the benefit of the people.
The President stated that as a son of Igala Kingdom, the visit becomes imperative, necessary and home coming to pay homage. Among the council members was the First Deputy President, Engr Chief O. Ajibola, fnse, who has the traditional title of Agbakin of Ile Ife, the Secretary General and Acting Executive Secretary of APBN.
The Attah Igala in his response, thanked the APBN President and Council members for the visit. He recounted the significant and positive contributions of the APBN President in health sector, when he was NMA President, engendering progress,  peace and harmony in the sector.
He stated that the contribution of the APBN President, to Kogi state when he was Commissioner of Health  in Kogi state, cannot be easily discarded.
The Attah Igala congratulated the APBN President and wished him well in his strides. He stated that Omede remains a great pride.
The Attah Igala observed that the APBN President has brought life, visibility and prominence to APBN and prayed the tempo be sustained and improved upon. Attah Igala sees the APBN as a formidable and necessary bodies that should be given its pride of place, on the premise that professional are fundamental to enduring and sustainable socio-economic growth and development of most nation.
He applauded the APBN President for attaining such exalted elective post amongst Professionals in Nigeria and remains a pride  and role model to Kogi state in  particular and Nigeria in general. He called on the professionals to harness the natural and human resources in the nation and particularly Kogi state, for a more economically sound, productive and service delivery nation.
He wished the President and his council better days and opportunities in service to the nation.
