The Executive Chairman of Adavi local government of Kogi state, Hon. Joseph Omuya Salami, has been confirmed as Certified National Accountant (CNA) from the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria (ANAN).
The induction took place at ANAN Secretariat in Mabushi, Abuja on Thursday.
In a statement, the Chairman’s media aide, Jamiu Habeeb, said “the induction came in after Hon. Salami passed the exams and met all the prerequisite requirements set by the institution, recognition of his practice in the accounting profession for years, and his commitment to merging the profession with administrative activities without any form of setback rather than positive track records.”
The President of ANAN, Prof. Benjamin Chika Osisioma, charged the new inductees to be good ambassadors of ANAN wherever they find themselves.
“The management of ANAN have gone through your records and are satisfied with your good records, and gave approval of your induction, we crave your indulgence to continue with it and be the light that will shine in your various environments,” Prof. Osisioma said.
Speaking with newsmen after the induction ceremony, the local government chairman commended the noble works of ANAN, having distinguished itself from several bodies which have been politicized.
“ANAN has been known for professionalism over the years and has not deviated from that path till today.
“Even in a hurry, I will never forget to thank my principal, His Excellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello, the Executive Governor of Kogi State who God Almighty has used to make positive changes in my life,” he said.
