…withdraw before Thursday or face legal tussle

The Network for Change and Good Governance, NCGG, has called on the people of Ankpa 1 constituency to reject the candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Ahmed Mohammed, in the Saturday House of Assembly rerun election.

In an exclusive chat with Kogireports, National Chairman of NCGG, Comrade Ismaila Yusuf Atumeyiā€ˇ alleged that Mohammed Ahmed (a.k.a Ahmed Ahmed) is a desperate young man who is going about with forged results. He urge Ahmed Ahmed to withdraw voluntarily from the race on or before Thursday, 18th February, 2016 or the NCGG will file a perjury suit against him with a risk of 21 years in jail.

According to Atumeyi, Ahmed Ahmed does not have the moral and mental aptitude to represent the good people of Ankpa 1 in the state assembly. He claimed that Ahmed Ahmed’s representation will bring shame and backwardness to the people.

Atumeyi, a native of Ankpa, called on Ankpa 1 electorates to come out enmass on Saturday, 20th February, 2016 and cast their votes for Abdulmumuni Ibrahim of the All Progressives Congress, APC. He challenged all lovers of Late Prince Abubakar Audu to show solidarity and love for the former governor by voting for Abdulmumuni.

When asked if his preferred candidate is participating in the rerun election going by Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) stance that the APC has been barred from taking part in Ankpa 1 rerun election scheduled for February 20, Atumeyi said INEC’s statement in that regard was in error. He said the courts will clarify this in a couple of days.

Speaking further on Ahmed Ahmed’s educational qualifications, Atumeyi stated that the NCGG has enough evidences to show that all the results submitted to INEC by Ahmed Ahmed were forged.

“I challenge Ahmed Ahmed to prove us wrong by publishing his original results in national dailies”, he said.

“On moral grounds, he is not qualified to represent Ankpa 1. With a simple O’Level results, by INEC rules, he is qualified to contest any election so I wonder why he has to go this far by forging certificates he never acquired

“This young man once claimed he is from Okpo in Olamaboro Local Government Area of Kogi State but today he is claiming Ankpa. A oung man with integrity issues cannot be a good representative”

The NCGG boss expressed confidence in INEC to take the right steps according to the law and conduct credible rerun elections across Kogi state on Saturday.
