Kogi lawmaker and member representing Okene II Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Hon. Zakari Yusuf (Nescafe), has commended the management of Confluence University of Science and Technology (CUSTECH), Osara, for judiciously utilizing the little resources at their disposal to strengthen the academic standard of the school, create job opportunities for the people and improve the economy of the host community.
The lawmaker gave the commendation when he paid a courtesy visit to the university on Monday.
He expressed excitement with the rate of infrastructural development in the school and thanked former Governor Yahaya Bello for his wonderful, unique and unmatched records of development in educational sector, describing him as a philosopher whose name has been written in gold through his unprecedented achievements in infrastructural development.
He assured the university community and indeed the people of Kogi state that the administration of Alh. Usman Ahmed Ododo will not only consolidate on it but build on the legacies of his predecessor.
Responding, the Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Abdulrahaman Salawu appreciated the lawmaker for his visit and assured him that the school management will continue to justify the confidence reposed on them and will do everything possible to uphold the vision and mission of the university.
Confluence University of Science And Technology Osara was established on 29th August, 2020 by the administration of Alh. Yahaya Bello and currently has over 3,000 undergraduate students.
