Frontline House of Assembly aspirant from Adavi Constituency, Alh. Ishaq Asuku Ilyas (Rich man) has commended President Muhammad Buhari for signing into law an act that gives financial autonomy to State Houses of Assembly.
In a statement released to newsmen in Lokoja on Monday, Asuku stated that the President had proved himself as a true democrat.
“I think we should salute the President for his statesmanship as he grant financial autonomy to state legislatures. This marked a watershed in the development of democratic principles in Nigeria.
“There are many things President Muhammadu Buhari has done over the past three years that are outstanding in terms of finding the political will and demonstrating statesmanship, the current law granting state assemblies and judiciary autonomy is a great milestone,” he said.
