The Stinking of a Selfish Public Servant.
“Leadership is not a person or a position. It is a complex moral relationship between people based on trust, obligation, commitment, emotion, and a shared vision of the good”.
The above statement by Joanne B. Ciulla an American Philosopher and a leading light in the field of Ethics and Leadership captures in totality in opposition direction the person and personality of an opportunistic, egoistic, most selfish, self centered and lowly politician on the Western side of the River Niger.
He is Asiwaju Asiru Idris, the Commissioner for Finance and one of the most trusted ally of his Excellency Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello who has shown himself as one of the most inefficient and ineptitude cabinet member under GYB.
He superintended over a Staff Audit that lasted for more than half of the last administration of GYB with minimal success. The staff audit no doubt is the major downside of Yahaya Bello’s Administration; the handling of which has has left lots of staff out of Job thanks to Asiwaju’s ineptitude and crash inefficiency.
On the political front, Asiwaju is a perfect description of a ‘general without an army’.
Mukadam Idris who craves for the title of the political leader of Kogi West to the high heavens is the only commissioner that didn’t only lose his Local Government but also lost his ward and polling unit to the rival party in the last general elections despite the presence of 5 of his siblings he has made millionaires overnight.
This huge, monumental but very shameful serial loss of Asiwaju of his polling unit, ward and local government was in spite of the huge resources available to him from the party but obviously were perhaps pocketed.
Asiwaju who shamefully cannot win just his polling unit is shamelessly jumping up and down the length and breadth of Kogi in contention of the title of Kogi West APC leader.
One begins to wonder if Mukadam feels leadership is by desire or wish. It is surprising to note that their is no iota of shame left for Asiru, if not, he should be glad to willingly queue behind the likes of Hon Wakili Sule, the current helmsman in the Yabga East Local Government and a grassrooter of high repute and Hon Omiata Musa Jimoh who is a productive second timer in the Kogi State House of Assembly and a known selfless philanthropist (no wonder he won a second term with absolute ease).
Due to the benevolence, purposefulness and shared kindness of Wokili and Omiata were the pillars of the little success recorded in Yagba East Local Government. Sadly, Asiwaju is a political toddler who attempts to run even when he cannot crawl.
Rather than make the dividend go round, he greedily concentrates same just within his immediate family while consistently warring and picking fights with other APC leaders within and outside his local government.
He is fingered as the brain behind the brewing intra- party crisis in Kabba /Bunu APC. He is reportedly doing so to enable his solidify his stand for the race to Lugard House or Senate in 2023. A move that must be nipped in the bud. That is the tall dream of a man who cannot cater for his political household. Asiwaju should be reminded that charity should and must begin from home.
A good leader is not concerned about personal gains, but rather he is concerned with the welfare of others around him. Same cannot be said of Asiwaju who has made Dubai a second home for himself and his family.
Asiwaju needs to convince the Kogi Westerners, APC family and GYB why the juicest opportunities in Yagba East are in the hands of his siblings.
Asiwaju as a commissioner caused his immediate younger AbdulRazaq Idris Ijagbemi to be appointed as the Administrator of Yagba East. Another of his brothers Abdulfatai Idris (aka Papa Abdulfatai Bagido a 2014 graduate of Prince Abubakar University Anyingba and a(contract) marketer with FCMB currently seats on the board of Kogi State Internal Revenue Service as a Senior Manager courtesy of Asiwaju. A technical position expected to be handled by a well experienced officer. Also, another of his siblings Asiru Afolayan Nurudeen owns Gala Cleaning Services that is annually awarded multimillion naira contracts for the cleaning of Commissioner’s Quarters and other government establishments. A contract that is never faithful executed.
Chief Ladun a known PDP stalwart and a cousin to our self acclaimed APC leader of Kogi West Asiwaju Asiru Idris was a Revenue Consultant with the APC Government of Yahaya Bello. What a nepotistic public servant!
It appears Asiwaju is a very poor learner as his association with Yahaya Bello has had no known positive impact on his character as his egoistic, selfish and crude character as his nature has received no reformation, if not how can a reasonable person who wishes to offer himself for election in the near future concentrates such juicy offers within his immediate family, yet claim to be a leader who has his eyes on elective office(s) in the very near future. ‘Who does that?’
I keep laughing at his folly whenever he causes his boys to jump around in failed attempts to launder his dwarfed and dented image in preparation for Lugard House come 2023. They, like their boss feel everyone is perhaps senselessness just like them.
It is an open secret that Mukadam has concluded plans to sponsor another candidate against Sule Wakili in the upcoming local government poll in YagbaEast LGA. Wakili, from the body language of the governor, remains his preferred candidate.
Asiwaju would not mind going against the wish of his benefactor and boss GYB in order to gravitate his selfish ambition and glutinous urge. He is surrounded by nincompoops who know nothing than bootlicking and praise singing. I am aware that he goes around with characters who are known frauds with speciality in the distribution of awards for money. Only Asiwaju can tolerate such characters around him.
Who in his right senses will (further) empower such a selfish, self centered and cerebrally poor individual like Asiwaju Idris who believes solely in his belly and refuses to empower anyone without blood link with him? Who will reward Asiwaju with such a good job of Governor for woefully and consistently failing to deliver his polling unit to APC, a party that has given him such enormous economic status.
Obliviously, if the legacy of EBIGO and the detrabilised policy of Yahaya Bello must outlive this present administration, then, Asiwaju Asiru Idris is the least person to be considered for any elective office in the near future as such he must be kept very far away from accessing power in 2023.
Everyone one must rise against this nepotistic, sectional and greedy public servant who stinks to the high heavens.
Note: This piece is in reaction to an attempt to drag me into praise singing Asiwaju Asiru Idris a bigot, chauvinist and egoistic individual who stinks of greed and self centeredness with undeserving accolades through a well circulated junk with the title Asiru: A Public Servant with Many Colours. My loyalty is expensive and not to his likes; as such I totally dissociate myself from the said article.
