Architect Salman Idris is a rising political star and an exceptionally talented and widely known politician in Okun politics in particular and Kogi State in general. He is a leading candidate for the seat of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Abuja, in the forthcoming general election. Architect Salman Idris is contesting under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC). This is to formally present him in a more unique way to the good people of our constituency, particularly registered voters with permanent voter cards, ahead of the 2023 general elections, which are scheduled for February 25, 2023, and to solicit their individual and collective support thereafter.

Architect Salman Idris was born in AyegunleGbede, Kogi State, Nigeria, into the royal family of the late Oba (Chief) SakariyauIdris, late Oba of Akure Quarters, AyegunleGbede, and Ijumu Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria. He is from Akure Quarters, AyegunleGbede, Ijumu Local Government Area, Kogi State, Nigeria. Architect Salman Idris is happily married to Mrs. Nancy Idris, and the marriage is blessed with wonderful children.
Educational Background
Architect Salman Idris obtained his primary school education at Ahmadu Bello University Staff Primary School, Zaria, Kaduna State. He attended Ahmadu Bello University Demonstration Secondary School, Zaria, Kaduna State, where he bagged his Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE). AyegunleGbede-born Architect obtained his Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Architecture from the prestigious University of Jos, Plateau State. He did his one-year mandatory National Youth Service Corps program with AIMS Consultant, Abuja. Architect Salman Idris later proceeded to the University of Jos, Plateau State, for his master’s degree in Architecture.
Student Union/Political Activities
As a dogged fighter for some time, Architect Salman Idris held positions that are too numerous to mention in the past, especially during his undergraduate days at the University. He was a member of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) at the Ayegunle/Iluafon Ward level. Architect Salman Idris is a politician with a high level of maturity, integrity, humility, and honesty. Senator Smart Adeyemi, Senator representing Kogi West Senatorial District in the Senate, Hon. Tajudeen Ayo Yusuf, a member representing Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency in the Federal House of Representatives, Hon. Omofaiye Victor Adewale, a former member of the Kogi State House of Assembly, and Honourable Commissioner for Environment were all helped by him politically in the time past.
Personal Initiative and Professional Career
Architect Salman Idris’ outstanding passion for the provision of job opportunities to the teeming unemployed youths, communal and selfless service, the promotion of professionalism in architecture in particular and the building profession in general, and the discovery of untapped talents prompted him to establish his firm, SA’IDKRAFT PROJECT, with a head office in Abuja. Till date, he is the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the above-named firm that has engaged and is still engaging youths from Okun, especially Kabba-Bunu / Ijumu Federal Constituency, and Nigeria as a whole who are ready and willing to build a professional career in the architecture and building professions and beyond. Architect Salman Idris is a registered member of the Architecture Registration Council of Nigeria (ARCON) and the Nigeria Institute of Architecture (NIA), which proves his professionalism as an architect since 2002.
Community Development Service
Just like his late father, Architect Salman Idris has contributed his quota towards the growth, progress, and development of AyegunleGbede, the Ijumu Kingdom, the Okun Nation, Kogi State, and Nigeria via community development services, youth engagement, skill acquisition programs, women’s empowerment, and service to humanity in general. He is one of the illustrious sons of AyegunleGbede who have silently contributed to the development of the community. Out of his magnanimity, he gave scholarships to secondary school students of Okun extraction by paid for Joint Admission and Matriculation Board Examination (JAMB) forms for them, paying for their West Africa Examination Council (WAEC) and National Examination Council (NECO) examination fees, and assisting some of them to secure admission into tertiary institutions of learning of their choice through the National Association of Okun Students (NAOS) some years ago.
Meritorious And Honorary Awards
As a nation builder who has impacted the lives of many Nigerians, he has received many awards in the past in appreciation of his contribution to the development of our land and our people. Those awards include an “Award of Honor” in recognition of his philanthropic gestures and outstanding contributions to the empowerment of Okun Youth by Okun Youth Leaders Forum; a “Meritorious Award” in respect of his numerous contributions to the development of Okun Land by Okun Ambassadors Magazine on the 16th of June, 2012; an “International Meritorious Award” as a global recognition and mandate to facilitate the realization of the United Nations MDGs by Global Educators for All Initiatives on the 16th of November, 2012, as Millennium Development Ambassador” etc.
After thorough research was conducted about him, his personality, his antecedents, and his achievements in areas of human capital development, youth engagement, community service development, and women’s empowerment using in-depth interviews and content analysis, it’s obvious that Architect Salman Idris is the best man for the job this time around based on his exposure, education, and experience in the past in areas of student unionism, youth advocacy, and political activism.
