…Urges The People To Support Bello’s Administration.
The Special Adviser to Kogi State governor on Sustainable Development Goals and the state’s Focal Person, Arc Abdulmumeen Okara has described the recent victory of the state governor, His Excellency Alh Yahaya Bello at the Supreme Court as ‘freedom received at the highest altar of mother justice’ while urging the people of Central Senatorial District and Kogi State in general to give maximum support to Gov Bello’s administration for the progress of the state.
Arc Okara who made the statement during his thanksgiving/prayer session over the recent victory at the Supreme Court which reaffirmed Alh Yahaya Bello as the duly elected governor of Kogi State in the 2015 gubernatorial election said the judgement will put an end to the agitation by Bello’s opponents to put spanner in the works of his government. While extolling the virtues of the judiciary as the last hope of the common man where truth is the vital ingredient for justice, Okara noted that the Court verdict in reaffirming Gov Bello as the duly elected governor of the state has further reimbursed the confidence of Nigerians in the judiciary as a place for both the aggrieved and the aggressor can approach without let or hindrance for clear interpretation of our laws.
He urged his people to harbour no malice or ill feelings towards anyone but to invite everybody aboard the NewDirection Agenda of Kogi State as partners for the development of the state.
While thanking the people of Orietesu Ward, Okene local government area and kogi state in general for standing by Gov Yahaya Bello and his government during the trying days of the litigations, Okara assured of Bello’s determination not to relent on his New Direction agenda for the state. Speaking on the thanksgiving and prayer session, Arc Okara said there were necessary for the miraculous enthronement of Alh Yahaya Bello as the first governor of the state from the central Senatorial District and for Almighty Allah to grant him the wisdom, understanding and protection to lead the state on the path of prosperity.
Okara said despite the litigations, Bello’s 8 months in office has been eventful, commending the governor on his achievements in civil service reform, autonomy to the judiciary and the local government areas, security, education and other sectors of the state economy. He told the people of Okene that Bello’s New Direction Agenda encapsulated the critical sectors of the state which include Education, Health, Agriculture, Job Creation and Rural Development and assured the people the New Direction Agenda will take kogi out of the wood in terms of rural and infrastructure development.
Speaking at the occasion, Alh Momojimoh Onimis said Bello’s emergence was divine, noting that God has His plans for Kogi and brought Bello on board for the execution of His plans.
