Alhaji Umar Nuhu, Chairman of APGA in Kogi wants results collated at INEC office to ensure transparency and credibility in the State’s council election on May 4.

Nuhu made the call in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja on Sunday.
The chairman urged Kogi State Independent Electoral Commission (KSIEC) to ensure timely distribution of sensitive materials to polling centres.
“This is time for seriousness and uprightness if our quest to get it right in the conduct of elections is anything to go by in this country.”
Nuhu cautioned politicians against the imposition of candidates on the electorate to avoid violence during elections.
He attributed violence before, during and after every election to the imposition of candidates on the electorate and negligence of duty on the part of security agencies.
Nuhu said if insecurity in one state was not tackled headlong, it could affect the entire country. He, therefore, urged Nigerians not to leave security in the hands of the government alone, as it was everybody’s responsibility.
He called on the Federal Government, human rights activists, election observers and the international community to pay special attention to the forthcoming council election in Kogi.
Nuhu said the party supports the autonomy of local government councils, being the closest government to the people.
