A frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) senatorial aspirant for Kogi Central, Chief Momoh Y. Obaro, has joined millions of Nigerians in congratulating President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as his administration marks its third anniversary in office.

In a statement issued from the United Kingdom, where he serves as Secretary of the APC, Obaro praised the president for what he characterised as “transformational leadership,” declaring that the past 36 months have demonstrated that “Nigeria is finally under the care of a master builder.”

Development Economist Points to Economic Priorities

Obaro, a development economist by training, focused much of his tribute on the president’s economic agenda. He drew particular attention to the ongoing Lagos–Calabar Coastal Road project and the proposed Badagry-to-Sokoto Road as landmark infrastructure investments set to yield long-term economic dividends for the country.

“Through thick and thin, Mr. President has shown the political will to take the hard but right decisions to pull our economy back from the brink,” Obaro said.

He called on Nigerians to sustain their support and prayers for the Tinubu administration as it navigates what he described as a critical phase of national renewal.

Key Milestones of the Renewed Hope Agenda

The Kogi Central APC chieftain outlined several policy achievements under the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda:

Financial Autonomy for Local Governments: Obaro credited the president with delivering full financial autonomy to Nigeria’s 774 Local Government Areas, ensuring that community development funds reach grassroots beneficiaries directly, without interference from state-level intermediaries.

Student Loan Scheme (NELFUND): He praised the introduction of the National Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) as a historic step toward widening access to higher education for children from low-income households — a move he described as “opening the doors of higher education to the sons and daughters of ordinary Nigerians.”

Tax Relief for Small Businesses: Obaro also highlighted the exemption of businesses with annual turnovers below ₦100 million from certain tax obligations, along with protections for low-income earners, as evidence of the administration’s pro-people economic posture.

AKK Gas Pipeline and Kogi’s Industrial Potential: Of particular relevance to his senatorial constituency, Obaro lauded the advancement of the Ajaokuta–Kaduna–Kano (AKK) gas pipeline corridor, which he said positions Kogi Central “as a vital centre of enterprise and policy innovation” in the emerging energy landscape.

A Call for Unity and Continued Support

Rounding off his statement, Obaro urged residents of Kogi Central and Nigerians at large to remain united behind the current administration.

“As we look forward to a more robust phase of growth, I urge the wonderful people of Kogi Central and the nation at large to remain united, steadfast, and supportive of this administration. The foundation is solid, and the future is bright,” he said.
