National Woman Leader of All Progressives Congress (APC), Hajia Salamatu Baiwa Umar-Eluma has congratulated the state Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on his victory at the polls.
Baiwa said the victory is a representation of the collective desire of the people of the state to ensure continuity of the ruling APC, both at the state and federal levels.
She reiterated her earlier promise to join hands together with the new administration of Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Edward Onoja to attract more federal government presence to the state.
She said Kogi state cannot afford to go its own way when the federal presence is already felt in the state, especially the reactivation of the moribund Ajaokuta Steel Company.
Mrs Umar- Eluma promised to attract more development at the state and federal levels in the area or infrastructural development and social services.
She urged the people of the state to put behind events in the last election so as to move the state to greater heights of development.
She appealed to the Governor to consider more women for appointment in his cabinet so as to give the womenfolk a sense of belonging in his administration.
Baiwa urged the new administration, when sworn in, to be magnanimous in its activities so as to ensure progress and development of the state.
