APC Leaders Withdraws From Dec. 19 Kogi West Rally

Leaders of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) have distanced themselves from the planned political rally to shore up support for Governor Yahaya Bello.

The planned rally, that has generated so much heat, is scheduled to hold in Kabba on Tuesday. The rally is been put together by appointees of Governor Bello from Kogi West senatorial district.

 

However, APC State executive members from Kogi West have alleged that the organisers are dropping their names to woo attendees.

 

The executive members in a statement signed by the APC Deputy chairman, Hon. Osune Shaib, said they are to party to the planned rally.

“Our attention has been drawn to the news trending that APC Kogi West will hold a Rally in Kabba on Tuesday,  19th December, 2017. This is fake news!
“The under listed state officers from Kogi West have not organized any rally and have not authorised anyone or group to do so by proxy. We hereby call on members and supporters of our great party, the All Progressives Congress (APC) across the seven local government areas of Kogi West to disregard any call or invitation to attend the purported ‘APC KOGI WEST RALLY’ on 19th December, 2017,” the statement read.
Executive members who signed the statement include the Kogi State Deputy Chairman of APC; Chief Gbenga Asagun, Zonal Vice Chairman (West); Comrade Yahaya Ade Ismail, State Treasurer; Chief Joseph Noah Molemodile Esq, State Legal Adviser;Alhaji Bozy Mohammed Attati, Assistant State Financial Secretary; Hon. Lawal Sulaiman, Assistant State Organizing Secretary and Hon. Joseph Ajulo, the State Ex-Officio (West).
