The All Progressives Congress (APC) Non-Serving Senators Forum has urged all members of APC to willingly accept the decision of President Muhammadu Buhari and other leaders and elders of the party on the adoption of a unity list for the election of officials at national convention holding in Abuja.

The Forum, a newly inaugurated political pressure group within the APC, made the call in a statement signed by its Chairman, Senator Nurudeen Abatemi-Usman and Secretary, Senator Ayogu Eze.

The group strongly believes that the consensus arrangement will foster peace, unity and harmony in the ruling party.

The statement reads: “There is wisdom behind the President’s plea for a consensus approach and the decision of the leaders and elders of the party.

“The Unity List will promote peace, harmony, and rapprochement in our party.

“Therefore, we urge us all, to strictly abide by the President’s plea to respect the UNITY LIST, up and down the ballot, at today’s convention.

“Congratulations, in  advance for a successful outing.”

The APC Non-Serving Senators Forum was formally inaugurated last Wednesday at Sheraton Hotel, Abuja, with a vow by the members to continue to make valuable contributions to the upliftment and advancement of the party.
