Ankpa: Rabiu Alfa Inspects Erosion Site, Donates N.1Million as He Promises Govt Intervention

In a swift reaction to what is better of an act of Community Development Service(CDS), the honorable member representing Ankpa II constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Alhaji Alfa Momoh Rabiu has visited and inspected an erosion ravaging site in Odogomu, Ojoku district of Ankpa local government area of Kogi state.
The visitation which came up at the early hours of Sunday, the 1st day of July, 2018 was in reaction to voices of lamentation heard by the distinguished honorable member while at a wedding ceremony of a child of an APC chieftain in the area.
Concerned by the state of the erosion, Hon Rabiu Alfa made an instant donation of one hundred thousand naira and promised to call on the attention of government to the menace with a view to ameliorating it before it spreads into what will lead to the destruction of lives and properties.
“I took it upon myself to be hear and see things for myself this morning upon hearing about this erosion yesterday. Even though it is not duty bind on me to as a lawmaker, embark on projects like this. It is about the welfare of our people and I can’t ignore it.” He said.
“So, I will for now bring one hundred thousand naira which shall be used to raise gutters in order to prevent it from spreading out while I make efforts to call on the attention of Kogi state government and other related agencies to this menace in furtherance of long lasting solution.”
Highlight of the inspection was when a community elder who was physically present, Alhaji Meliga Baba thanked Hon Rabiu on behalf of of the community promising him of the community’s unrivalled support to his political endeavors as the youths who ratified his goodwill sounded in positive affirmations.
It will be recalled that the honorable has been at the front burner of calling governments attention to problems of environmental degradation of all sorts through the content and quality of his motions and active participation on the floor of the house respectively.
