Ankpa: Hon Rabiu Alfa Advises Voters On Need To Enroll For CVR

As the nation and the electorate prepare for the 2019 general election, member representing Ankpa 2 constituency at the Kogi state house of assembly, Hon Alfa Momoh Rabiu has called on all residents and people of the State who are of voting age but have not previously registered with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to take advantage of the ongoing continuous voter registration exercise and troop out en masse to ensure that they are all duly registered.
The member who spoke during the weekend while addressing supporters and well wishers during a marriage ceremony where he was a special guest termed the registration as a panacea towards ensuring that leaders who shall be elected in 2019 will reflect the wishes of a large majority stressing that the task of building every society depends on choosing the right leaders and that can be done only with the PVCs.
“The task of building a truly prosperous and good society is a collective one. If electorally eligible citizen refuses to get the PVC, he or she will only not have the moral right to later complain that he or she is misgoverned but shall be an accomplice in the selection of a bad leader”, he asserted.
Speaking further, “I therefore call on my good people of Ankpa at the state at large who are eighteen years old and above but have not registered with INEC to utilise the opportunity of the ongoing Continuous Voter Registration(CVR) by INEC to do so,” he said.
The high ranking honorable also used the opportunity to commend the electoral body for its tireless efforts in deepening the culture of popular participation in the nation’s political process and charged the electoral umpire not to ever allow the pressure of high offices negotiating partisan interests to compromise it’s mandate.
