The tussle for who represents Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro federal constituency at the federal house of representatives in the Nigerian ninth national assembly has been brought to a close by the declaration of Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims as the winner.

Hon Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims who is the candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC polled a total of thirty eight thousand eight hundred and sixty four(38,864) against his closest rival and candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Hon Habitat Deen who polled twenty six thousand four hundred and two(26,402) to come second.

Hon Halims who is contesting the seat for the third time also has on his “win over” list the incumbent member, Hon Hassan Omale who contested under the platform of the African Democratic Congress and came third behind APC and PDP.

The reps member-elect is a hotelier, oil and gas magnate reputable with lasting legacies of social development as facilitated by him during his reign as the honourable member representing Ankpa I constituency at the Kogi State House of Assembly.

As at the time of filing this report, the streets of Ankpa has been up agog in wild jubilation which can be better described as a vigil into a new era of human and infrastructure development, the hall mark of Hon Halims capacity building manifesto.
