Ankpa: Ahmed Ahmed Celebrates Birthday With Orphans, Commissions Water Project

Member representing Ankpa 1 state constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed yesterday stormed his hometown to celebrate his birthday in a grand style.

Ahmed Ahmed, who is the Deputy majority leader of the House, was in company of Speaker Kolawole Matthew.

At Emekutu community, Ahmed and well wishers inspected the ongoing rehabilitation of Community Secondary School, a project he embarked upon few months ago. They proceeded from there to OjoKídéJu Orphanage Home to celebrate with the children.

He later led his entourage to Ugolo-Ochinobi community in Ankpa LGA where he commissioned a water project.

The people of Ugolo-Ochinobi could not hide their joy as they came out in large numbers, singing and praying for Ahmed Ahmed.

The Imam of Ochinobi commended Ahmed Ahmed for the water project.

“Hon. Ahmed Mohammed flagged off this project three months ago, today we are so happy because we can now save some part of our money which we use in buying water from tankers everyday.

“I am short of words. We have been voting people to represent us at the state and federal levels but yours is different. We have never felt the positive impact of the dividends of democracy in our community, Alhamdulillah you are a blessing to us”, he said.

The Assembly Speaker expressed gratitude to the people of Ankpa for the love shown to him and tasked them to be their brothers keeper and be supportive of the government and their leaders as this will be the only way they could benefit positively.

The Speaker also stopped by to inspect the ongoing construction of Ankpa township road.

Aside the Speaker, Ahmed was joined in the celebration by the majority leader, Hon. Hassan Abdullah Bello, the Senior Special Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Student Affairs, Hon. Omonu Joshua (Levels Pumping), party leaders and other dignitaries.
