For the people of Okpolobia in Ankpa local government area of Kogi state, the joy and mirth of sallah went beyond merriment as the honourable member representing Ankpa 2 constituency, Alhaji Alfa Momoh Rabiu comes to their aid to give life to the only clinic in the community after years of neglect.
This was followed by a sensational visitation to the health facility intended by the people’s honorable to sympathize with those having health challenges as part of his activities to mark this years eid El fitr celebration.
Arriving the venue shortly after a wedding ceremony, the honorable took supporters aback by a sudden change of mood and interaction traceable to his dissatisfaction at the state of the health facility which is hitherto the only source of primary health care for the people of Okpolobia and it’s environs.
Highlight of the August visitation was a round tour of the clinic, footing of medical bills of patients on admission as well as special welfare token to those around, a gesture very characteristic of the erudite lawmaker.
It will be recalled that the Okpolobia Primary Health Care is as old as Kogi state and has been suffering government and philanthropic neglect since its establishment in the year 1991.
Work to commence within the shortest time frame.
