Dear Kogi State Representatives,

Sequel to the good work you people have done on the constitutional amendments, especially the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill and the subsequent concurrence by 34 houses of assemblies, it is most important now that the constitutional amendment is transmitted to the President for onward assent.

The quality of time and effort exerted into the constitutional amendment process is gradually going to waste as NASS delays the transmission of the amendment Bills. Nigerian youths have invested a lot of time and resources into ensuring the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill sees the light of the day. This sacrifices and commitments were as a result of their believe in the system and the utmost desire to making it better through running for elective positions in the 2019 elections if the Bill is assented to by the President.

These aspirations and enthusiasm are gradually being eroded as NASS delays the transmission of the Bill.

It is on these bases I am calling on you to as a matter of urgency rally your colleagues and the leadership of the National Assembly to transmit the #NotTooYoungToRun Bill and other amendment bills to the president for onward assent.

Kogi State youths and Nigerian youth in general will be forever indebted to you as you crest your names in the sand of time.

Thank you.

– Umar Dan’Assabe Muhammed is the Coordinator #NotTooYoungToRun Campaign, Kogi State.
