Former Governor of Kogi state, Alhaji Ibrahim Idris has described the 27th Attah Igala, Dr. Michael Idakwo Ameh Oboni II as an embodiment and pride of the rich Igala cultural heritage.
In an emotion laden statement personally signed by the former governor, Idris expressed shock over the sad development.
Alhaji Idris said the unfortunate transition of the cerebral traditional ruler is a great loss to Kogi state and Nigeria.
The former governor stated these are difficult times for the people of Kogi state, considering the legacies the revered stool built over decades.
He said the passing away of Attah is a great loss to all sons and daughters of Kogi state and the traditional institutions.
He charged the people of the state to intensify prayers at this critical period.
He prayed for the repose of the soul of revered Igala stool custodian, adding that his life was filled with exemplary and fatherly roles.
