A former Nigerian Ambassador to the Republic of Botswana, Ambassador Isaac Onuh, has commiserated with the Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, over the death of his father, Alhaji Ahmed Momohsani Ododo.

In a condolence message to the governor, Ambassador Onuh described the death of the elder Ododo as “heartbreaking,” adding that he lived a life of impact, sacrifice, and devotion worthy of emulation.

“The passing of Baba is heartbreaking. I pray Almighty Allah to grant his reposed soul eternal rest and forgive all his shortcomings. I also pray that God Almighty grants His Excellency, members of the Ododo family, and all who knew Baba in his lifetime the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss at this period of sobriety,” Amb. Onuh stated.

He further noted that the vacuum left by the late Ododo would be difficult to fill, pointing to his loving heart, selfless nature, exemplary lifestyle, and unwavering commitment to service to humanity and reverence for God.

The late patriarch, who passed on Monday after a brief illness, was aged 83. He was laid to rest today in his country home in accordance with Islamic rites.

Governor Ododo has continued to receive tributes from dignitaries and notable Nigerians across the country since the announcement of his father’s passing.
