The ancient city of Ankpa was agog as the family of Alhaji Abubakar Bida General, a protagonist of Tijanniya movement, turbaned Alhaji Mohammed Shakur Yunusa as Hasken Failat of Kogi state (HFK).
According to the organisers, Alhaji Shakur’s contributions to the development and advancement of Islamic knowledge and practice of Tijanniya movement in the last few decades has translated to the possible spread of Islamic movement in the state.
Speaking at the occasion, during this year’s Maulud Nabiyi of the Central mosque in Ankpa town, the council commended the recipient for sustaining the activities of the movement after his late father, Alhaji Yunusa Isa Adebu.
The council of Tijanniya in Kogi state commended the efforts been put in place to ensure the sustenance of the practice of the movement initiated by Shehu Ibrahim Nyass.
At the event witnessed by prominent Tijanniya members across the state, the organisers said the recipient was turbaned for his selfless services towards charity, Zikrulah, D’aawah in line with the tenets and practices of the movement.

Responding, Alhaji Mohammmed Shakur thanked the organisers for considering him worthy for the coveted stool, while promising to do more in the practice of Islamic religious program and Tijanniya movement in Kogi state and Nigeria in general.
