Greetings to the good people of Adavi local government area and Kogi state at-large. As Kogi state indigene, I strongly believe we are naturally blessed and loved by the architect of the universe, God Almighty, but some bad elements who have been preventing some of the good works of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello are being discovered and dismissed from the new direction administration.
I was motivated by a popular quote by the great greek philosopher Aristotle; “Silence is a crime in an unjust society”, we should be able to speak when it matters on issues that concerns governance.
The dismissal of the Administrator of Adavi local government area, Hon. Ajoge Abu Enesi is a blessing to the people of the land and no doubt, the people of Adavi in no time will begin to feel the impact of the new direction government at the grassroot.
Over the years, Ajoge Abu Enesi has painted the new direction government black before the people of Adavi due to his inability to effectively implement government policies at the grass root. Though I wasn’t surprised about that because he lacks the ability to control his immediate family so why should we be expecting good results from such person? Remember you cannot give what you don’t have.
The painful aspect of the whole issue is the fact that he wants to contest as the chairman of the local government. I always laugh when I see his posters because it’s just like the case of our religious clerics who don’t know what their judgement will be before God but continue to judge fellow humans on who will make heaven and those that will be admitted into hell.
He, Ajoge Enesi Abu, has committed a lot of atrocities against the people and the gods of Adavi and I am glad he has been made to realize his mistakes but this is just the beginning. And now that he has been dismissed, I say farewell Mr honourable.
Some of the atrocities was the refusal to distribute the confluence rice among the wards and people of Adavi local government which was earlier discovered and the military officers were ordered to take charge of the distribution. On several occasion, he used the confluence vigilantes and the military officers against the culture and traditions of Adavi people by arresting masquerades during Eku-echi festival. As a matter of fact, the recent murder of one Mr Emmanuel Akobe, who was a custodian that was murdered during the Ebe festival of Adavi local government can be traced to him.
Ajoge has done more harm than good to the people of Adavi and I am surprised Gov. Yahaya Bello Adoza is just realizing but it’s never too late, indeed God has finally answered our prayers.
This should serve as a deterrent to other administrators and even the newly appointed administrator to make more friends than enemies at their various local governments because God is never asleep. No doubt, the evil men do now live with them and not after them.
Local government’s administration was established to bring the government closer to the people at the grass root, not intimidating and oppressing the people at the grass root with the impression that their voices cannot be heard at the state and the federal level.
Having said this, you can still take advantage of your cordial relationship with some hungry security officers and that of a former local government administrator to hunt me but the fact is that we speak when it matters.
Lastly, I say congratulations to the people of Adavi local government as God Almighty finally intervened on our behalf.
