Administrator of Adavi local government, Hon. Ajoge Enesi Abu has flagged off the national cash transfer programme in the Adavi.
Speaking at the flag-off ceremony, Ajoge said the programme was part of the five components designed by the Federal Government to tackle poverty in the country.
He noted that the Federal Government is desirous of addressing poverty in the country, particularly among the vulnerable groups.
The council boss said the government has made adequate preparations to ensure that beneficiaries were captured without hitches for the payment of N5,000 monthly stipend by the Federal Government.
He advised the facilitators to take the programme very serious and adhere strictly to the rules of their engagement to ensure that beneficiaries of the project get their monthly stipends as and when due.
Hon Ajoge assured the good people of Adavi local government of his continued commitment to partner with Federal Government and other partners to improve the living standards of Adavians
