Any right thinking person who has followed up on the recent trajectory of Hon. Lawal Idirisu as the member representing Ajaokuta federal constituency in the House of Representatives will easily come to a conclusion that the allegations bordering on certificate forgery is a cheap blackmail sponsored by the same politician that lost out to Lawal.
The allegations, as published by an online news platform, with the name of Aloysius Okino is nothing but falsehood based on sentiments and ethnic bigotry which has remained the fundamental problem Ajaokuta LGA is yet to sincerely engage.
The nonintellectual critics of Hon. Lawal raised the same allegation of forged certificate at the Tribunal while challenging Hon. Lawal’s victory but their lies fell like a pack of badly arranged cards in court.
Sponsoring this outdated allegation in news outlets after failing to prove it in court shows how desperate they are. As incumbent council chairman and Chairman of Kogi State Chapter of ALGON together with state and federal might at their disposal in 2015, they were roundly defeated at the polls by Hon. Lawal.
The failed aspirant has resorted to cheap media propaganda to win sympathy from those he has enslaved for several years by looting the local government treasury dry through the embezzlement of allocations and other entitlements meant for salaries of workers and the development of the entire LGA for investments abroad. What a callous human being! Hopefully, in no distance time from now, posterity will catch up with him and he will end up in EFCC net Insha Allah.
A close look at the said certificate reveals that the allegation was politically motivated by somebody who failed to choose his fight. First, the certificate in question is not for Hon. Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu as was purported on the allegation. The name on the certificate is ‘Lawal Muhammed Idris’ which is in sharp contrast with the way and manner Hon. Lawal’s name is spelt in most of his documents.
This false publication is clearly the handiwork of Aloysius Okino who is so desperate to win Ajaokuta House of Representatives election. He has gone to the extent of cloning a fake result just to dent the image of a man who Ajaokuta elites unanimously invited to come and liberate them from political captivity caused by the maladministration of previous leaders, which he, Aloysius Okino was part of. The full name of the member representing Ajaokuta Federal Constituency in the green chamber is Lawal Muhammadu Idirisu, and not Lawal Muhammed Idris.
The allegation is not only malicious but lacked facts as the same case was presented to high court lokoja and appeal court Abuja shortly after 2015 general election and was trashed out by judges for lack of evidence/merit.
It is obvious Aloysius Okino has lost political relevance in Ajaokuta LGA, and if he choose to demean people in order win popularity, then, he should remember the saying that “whoever destroy another person just to get favour, should remember that destruction awaits him at the gate of his own success”.
