Aidoko gave the assurance after an extensive meeting with the management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) in his office at the National Assembly complex, Abuja.
The Senator described the poor power supply in Kogi East senatorial district as worrisome as it has affected individuals and businesses.
He pleaded with the management of AEDC to urgently revamp the power infrastructure in Kogi East to ensure improved power supply. He charged them to carry our necessary repairs and rehabilitation as appropriate.
He urged AEDC to declare state of emergency on power supply in Kogi East to avoid negative reactions from his people who are naturally peace-loving.
Aidoko told AEDC management that his people are dissatisfied with the firm for her continuous, obnoxious estimated billing without light. He challenged AEDC to make pre-paid meters available for power consumers in Kogi East without further delay.
He assured his constituents of not leaving any stone unturned to ensure the AEDC carry out the necessary repairs and provide improved power supply.
Responding, AEDC managing director, Engineer Ernest Mopuaya assured the lawmaker of quick response to his request to restore power to every community in Kogi East, stating that plans are in top gear to carry out major repairs to stabilise stable power supply to the people of the area.
