Ahmed Mohammed Support Victims of Rainstorm in Ankpa

Abache, the home town of member representing Ankpa I State Constituency in the Kogi State House of Assembly, Hon. Ahmed Mohammed was full of people who turned out to appreciate the kind gesture of a man who visited affected victims of the rainstorm and decided to stand by victims to support them in Ankpa LGA.
The Deputy Majority Leader, while making the donation, said that the primary purpose was to identify with the people in trial times like this, to show love and care to fellow citizens in distress. While making a cash donation of fifty thousand, twenty thousand and ten thousand to individuals based on the degree of damages, said more relief materials are on the way.
“You are all aware that I have already taken this issue as a matter of urgent public importance on the floor of the House and the state government is already giving it prompt attention. They have directed the local government administrators to compile list of areas affected areas and the Nigerian Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Kogi State Emergency Management Agency (KOSEMA) and Kogi State Erosion and Water-shed Management Project (NEWMAP) has been called to action,” he said.
He assured that in no time, they shall feel the government intervention to prevent future occurrences.
Speaking, one of the victims, Hajiya Lami Ahmodu commended the honorable member for his quick response and show of love to his people.
“What touched me after the whole scenario and disaster is that the  indefatigable honorable defied the rain to see things for himself. He was indeed moved by the situation and shared in the peoples plight. Instead of sleeping and enjoying the cozy environment he braced the weather, hit the road as a way to show his heartfelt empathy. Honorable Ahmed Mohammed action is beyond words, it’s like giving hope to the residents,” she said.
