The Aid-de-camp (ADC) to Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Alhaji Ahmed Abdul Mumin has donated N4million cash and food items to flood victims in Kogi State.

This, he said, was to cushion the effects of the flooding on the people.

The donation is not the only assistance Alhaji Ahmad planned to offer the people of the state.

Alhaji Ahmad, who said he was personally touched by the plight of the victims, described the flood disaster as unprecedented.

He urged the victims to see the disaster as an act of God, saying that it had become imperative for corporate organisations and public-spirited individuals to lend a helping hand.

He sympathised with Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello and Deputy Governor, Chief Edward David Onoja and the good people of Kogi state over the devastating flood incident that has affected many in the state.

Alhaji Ahmad was sympathetic to the flood victims in the most affected communities like; Itobe, Ibaji, Lokoja, Bassa, KotonKarfe, Ajaokuta, Ofu and Idah Local Government Areas where many villages and towns have been sacked by the floods.

While praying that God comfort all hard-pressed for their losses, he said: “I stand in solidarity with the Governor and the good people of Kogi State.”
