The Media Assistant to Kogi State Governor on Online Publication, Hon. Matthew Ochada has described the emergence of Hon. Labaran Yahaya Oyiegbe (a.k.a Agbaka) as the standard bearer of the Peoples’ Democratic Party in the March 19th primaries as a new dawn in the political history of Omala Local Government.
According to him, the nomination of Labaran is a reflection of the wishes of the majority. The former Senior Special Assistant to the former Executive Chairman of Omala Local Government Chairman said the emergence of Labaran is a quatum leap from underdevelopment to development as it is the first time a home based and grassroot politician is considered fit to lead the council.
According to him, “Hon. Oyiegbe is home based, he stays with us and knows where the shoe pinches because he wears it. His choice is a right step in the right direction”
He enjoined aspirants who lost to exhibit the spirit of sportsmanship, as there must definitely be a winner in every race.
He charged Hon. Labaran to remain focused and committed to the task ahead of him saying that he has the blueprint of Omala already, which he has been selling to those who care to know.
According to him, the time to implement the blueprint has come.
