Administrator of Okene Local Government, Engr. (Mall) Abdulrazaq Muhammad was on Saturday honoured with the “Achievement Award” for promoting peace and for his immense contribution towards academic excellence in Okene and Ebiraland by Okengwe Comprehensive College Idoma.
After reading the rich citation of the Council Administrator to the admiration and applause from students, parents and invited guests, the Principal of Okengwe Comprehensive College, Idoma, Mr A. A. Sanni took time to eulogise the humble nature of Hon. Abdulrazaq Muhammad, describing him as number one Kogi Peace Ambassador.
The Council Administrator was also praised for efforts in the area of academic development.
The School principal equally attest to the fact that, not less than 15 students from his school had benefited from the annual free WAEC scholarship by the Local Government Administrator.
Earlier in his address, Okene Local Government Supervisor for Health, who received the award on behalf of the Council Administrator, Hon. Suleiman Jatto thanked the school management for the honour and promised to convey the message to the Honourable Administrator of Okene Local Government.
He stated the Administration of Hon. Abdulrazaq Muhammad had paid WAEC fees of over 840 less privileged students in the last 3 years and promised that the good gesture will continue.
The Council Administrator announced the donation of 5 sets of computer to improve the teaching of basic computer studies for pupils as well as enhance Information and Communication Technology drive of the school.
