The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye on Saturday dedicated a Chapel built by the Upper Room of Grace Evangelistic Ministry, Isanlu Yagba East Local Government Area of Kogi State.

The worship edifice is a multipurpose interdenominational facility for prayer meetings, retreat programmes, fire conferences, evangelism outreaches, and a praise arena.

Pastor Adeboye, while speaking at the ceremony attended by the Secretary to Kogi State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade, said building of place of worship for God is the best investment to the Kingdom of God.

Represented by the Pastor in Charge of Kogi Region 24, Pastor Francis Oluwalade, the General Overseer commended the visioner of the Ministry, Dr. Williams Toyin Akanle for obeying the voice of God in building the Worship Centre and prayed God to reward him.

Pastor Adeboye, however, called on the Federal and Kogi State Governments to urgently rehabilitate the Kabba-Ilorin Road which according to him is currently in a deplorable condition.

According to him, the Road does not befit the Status of Kogi State and must be fixed without delay towards ameliorating the sufferings of road users.

The Secretary to Kogi State Government, Mrs. Folashade Ayoade in a remark, said though the road does not belong to the State Government, the Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello is making frantic effort to ensure that succour comes to road users.

Mrs. Ayoade extolled the leadership qualities of Dr. Akanle, describing him as a lover of God, father and distinguished Nigerian as well as a pride to Isanlu Kingdom.

Speaking in a sermon, the Guest Speaker, Rev. Isaac Oyebanji described the building of the Chapel christened “Chapel of His Glory” as a gift of to God, urging the people to leave enduring legacy for posterity sake.

“Dedicating a house of worship is significant and it is a transfer of ownership from human to divinity. It is a way of leaving legacies or footprint that will be remembered after the person is no more. Some people will be remembered for the problem they caused and not the solution they brought.”

Rev. Oyebanji lauded the Visioneer of the Ministry and his team for doing the needful, saying their reward is not only on earth but in the Heaven.

Earlier, the Visioner, Dr. Williams Toyin Akanle, said the worship ground had served as a solution centre in the last 25 years where people gather to pray over impossible situations, saying God has always been answering their prayers.

“Between 2013-2020, the Lord had directed the Ministry to build a house of prayer on this premises. It came strongly at various times but more frequently and repeatedly in 2020. In August 2020, the Lord came calling again but this time, with an ultimatum to commence the building of the House of Prayer. He also proceeded that we should name it ‘The Chapel of His Glory’ and that the entire premises will be known and called Glory land.”

“The Chapel is a House of Prayer, a centre for retreat, a centre for fire conferences for our Ministers in this environment, a centre for evangelism outreaches and a praise and Worship Arena,” he explained.

Dr. Akanle, who is a retired Assistant Director General of DSS, said with the obedience to build the Chapel, God is ready to restore the lost glory of Isanlu, Yagba land, Okun land, Kogi and Plateau States as well as that of Nigeria.

According to him, God only used him as a channel to build the Chapel as the Ministry is committed to propagating the gospel of Jesus Christ.
