Adavi local government administrator, Hon. Enesi Abu Ajoge has urged youth to enhance their capacity for enterprise development by acquiring and applying basic professional skills.
Ajoge gave the charge in Adavi Local government secretariat while addressing some youth groups from Adavi local government who paid him a courtesy visit on Wednesday in his office.
The Administrator, who described youths as the foundation of any nation, said the absence of useful engagement on the part of the youths was responsible for the increase in crime and other social vices in the society.
He called on the youth to take the advantage of this opportunity being created by Governor of Kogi State, Alh. Yahaya Adoza Bello’s giant strides in diversification of the state economy and urged youths to embrace agriculture to enhance food sufficiency and self employment.
The Administrator said Kogi is a great State under the leadership of Governor Bello with the capacity to accommodate the interest of the various component units.
He called for the revitalisation of the core national values such as hard work, patriotism, diligence and transparency, noting that, “Kogites are better together”.
The Administrator also urged parents to put eyes on the activities of their children, noting that, “The ruin of a nation begins from the home”.
