As political activities gather momentum towards the 2019 elections, the Ezi Apasi Development Group has called for the rotation of Adavi House of Assembly seat to their clan.

The group took the position at the weekend at their monthly meeting.

The chairman of the group, Ibrahim Omeiza Isah said they deserve recognition in the scheme of things in Adavi LGA.

“We are the most senior clan in all the five clans that makes up Adavi LGA and for this reason we deserve recognition in the scheme of things and we use this medium to say it loud, calling on the political class in the state to ensure that power rotates smoothly among all the five clans in Adavi LGA”, he said.

The chairman noted that since the creation of Kogi State the Apasi clan has never occupied the state house of assembly position, so it is therefore imperative to support a credible candidate from the Apasi Clan.

“We call on the new direction government led by Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello to fully support this clarion call to extend a hand of equity to the Apasi clan as the government of Alh Yahaya Adoza Bello is a government that believes in equity, justice and fairplay and the entire Apasi clan is trusting the new direction government not to allow the Apasi clan to be sidelined in the scheme of things.

“The Apasi clan also uses this medium to pass a vote of confidence on the Executive governor of Kogi State for his developmental strides and for finding our sons worthy of appointments into the new direction government and we promise our unalloyed loyalty and we will put in place all political machineries to see that his reelection comes to a reality.”
