The trial of Muhammed Audu, was stalled on Thursday at an Magistrate court 11, Lokoja, due to the absence of trial Judge, Magistrate Alhassan Hussaini.
The prosecution was to produce its witness in court to testify against the son of former Governor of the state, Prince Abubakar Audu.
Mr. Muhammed, who is facing trial on a 3-count charge of criminal conspiracy was present in court.
But the court registrar told the parties that the court could not sit due to absence of the judge, Magistrate Hussaini, who was said to be on annual leave.
The case was then adjourned till November 17 for continuation of hearing.
Speaking to the newsmen counsel to Muhammed, Barrister Okechukwu Ajunwa said his team did not object to the case being adjourned.
“The prosecution intends to continue the case by calling their witness. We did not object to the case being adjourned,’’ he said.
