The campaign organization for Quantity Surveyor (QS) Aminu Abubakar Suleiman, the African Democratic Congress (ADC) senatorial candidate for Kogi East, has issued a firm denial regarding recent allegations of financial inducement leveled against their candidate.
The statement comes in response to a publication credited to a group calling itself the “Concerned Kogi East Elites Forum,” which accused QS Suleiman, FNIQS, of offering financial inducements to Alhaji Hassan Yakubu Enape.
In an official release signed by the AAS Campaign Organisation, the campaign team described the claims as entirely baseless and untrue, warning that such narratives risk destabilizing an already sensitive political landscape.
“We state unequivocally that this allegation is false,” the statement read. “QS Aminu Abubakar Suleiman neither offered nor provided any financial inducement to Alhaji Hassan Yakubu Enape.”
The campaign expressed concern over the timing and nature of the claims, pointing out that unsubstantiated allegations could breed unnecessary division and suspicion among the electorate in Kogi East when the focus should be on constructive, peaceful political engagement.
Addressing other claims made in the Forum’s publication, the AAS Campaign Organisation declined to get drawn into broader disputes involving third parties. They clarified that any secondary grievances or political disagreements mentioned in the publication remain matters for the specific individuals involved to resolve independently.
Reiterating QS Suleiman’s commitment to an ethical campaign, the organization emphasized that the candidate remains focused on delivering credible representation, unity, and a campaign built on competence and ideas.
The campaign team concluded with a call for decorum and verification among all stakeholders participating in the election season.
“We encourage all political actors, organizations, and media platforms to exercise responsibility during this election season and to ensure that serious allegations presented as facts are supported by verifiable evidence. Kogi East deserves a contest of ideas, records, and capacity—not misinformation and division.”
