Hi young one,
In each of life’s endeavors, God has wired some of you differently. You’ve got some crazy dose of certain abilities that will yearn for expression.
This can be as ‘unbearable’ as your sense of dressing/fashion or a fanatical impulse to seek and ensure justice prevails wherever you are. Can even be as ‘laughable’ as campaigning for Animal Rights.
Yours can be as odd as odd can be. And you know what? ; not everybody can cope with oddities.
Your mind has a humanly unfathomable capability to make you; to make you WANT to change your world; and ABLE to!
But the world would not let you have your way that easily. NO, don’t kid! The world, though needs you, yet it dreads you, undermines and resents you. (remember the world doesn’t even know what it really wants).
Hmmn, fellow young one, your skills and giftings would make room for you, that is a given, but inside this room is a whole lot of things. Being ahead of your time in whatever area of life is a recipe for greatness and, of course, series of thorough disappointments.
Friends, parents and teachers may not always understand your drive. Your government which arguably doesn’t even understand a thing would be the wrongest thing on which to stake your dreams. (I hope they wake up to our 21st century realities.)
So what do you do?
As a Christian I primarily propose to you a serious spiritual order of living. (well I’m a pastor)
You’ve also got to seek out people who have gone ahead in your area of gifting. I know you may think they’re scarce, but we have a sea of them all over, who’re willing and competent mentors; if they are reluctant to see you, kindly take the initiative to approach them, prayerfully. No beg them for money o.
While I don’t like the too conservative ones who would always get ‘offended’ by your creative energy and ideas, you would actually have to respect their judgments much of the time. By experience they usually already know the implications of some of your actions, legal or otherwise.
But generally ehn, no let anybody dull your ginger. There is a small box that people get rounded up into. Never get too ‘humble’ to be put in there. You must seek out that mentor who will ginger your swagga. That is if you’re keen on reaching for the stars.
Equally important is, you must give yourself to reading. Your presentation which is sometimes the interface between you and your world must improve. It has remained unacceptably too watery for far too long – sadly you often don’t know this.
Acknowledge God all the way. Believe yourself all the way. Avoid jealousy.
Attend workshops and seminars. Make good friends.
And, errm, enjoy yourself!
