The people’s Comrade Bello Muhammad Sadiq(BMS) is a quintessential leader best describable, in summary, by the above qualities. This has pedestalled him as an unequaled aspirant in the Okehi chairmanship race and thus, not surprising, the teaming population of youths showing an unalloyed support for his candidacy.
In a 6-point agenda released by BMS Campaign Organization recently [see http://bit.ly/1Yj0Epc], cardinal areas that touch on the wellbeing of the people like Qualitative Education, Food Security, Portable Water Supply, Accessible and Affordable Healthcare, Women and Youth Empowerment and Security of Lives and Properties were thoroughly addressed with adequate situation analysis and realistic, time-tested and proven solutions. Such a cutting edge masterpiece could only come from a leader well prepared for the business of governance. Indeed, Comrade Bello has demonstrated an up to snuff capacity, experience, integrity and passion needed to deliver the gains of democracy to the people of Okehi LGA.
Concerning Youth and Women Empowerment, comrade Bello has proposed to embark on capacity building workshops and micro-credit scheme to bust the escalating unemployment rate and it’s attendant socio-economic implications in Okehi LGA. “We shall organize entrepreneurial training programme for youths and women with the goal of equipping them with the right information that will guarantee productivity and also help them access low interest loans to start up business or boost their capital”, he said.
The proof of the pudding is in the eating. Comrade Bello, a seasoned banker, social worker-cum-philanthropist has over the years demonstrated financial prudence and a heart of gold towards the needy. He has been tested and proven worthy of trust. When we express his potentiality to dramatically turnaround the democratic fate of Okehi LGA, we may not intend you to glamorize about an el-dorado but we’re pretty sure that a new Okehi is in the offing under his leadership.
We can expect a paradigm shift to a new order where the welfare of the people are prioritized by the government and salaries are paid fully and promptly. A new order where there’s accountability and transparency in public service. A new order where equity, fairness and justice are enthroned. A new order where the manifesto is not just a campaign tool but a term of reference that must be performed to the letter before tenure expiration. A new order where the people are not only important in winning elections but are the focal point and direct beneficiaries of the act of governance.
