As a political activist and youths advocate, I, Edison Atumeyi Edime, proudly commend the visionary leadership of Professor Usman Salisu Ogbo, Vice-Chancellor of Prince Abubakar Audu University, Kogi State, for his remarkable efforts toward transforming the university into a more functional, student-friendly, and progressive institution.
The introduction of tricycles for students’ transportation is more than just the provision of mobility—it is a practical demonstration of responsive leadership, institutional innovation, people-oriented governance, and commitment to student welfare.
For many students, transportation is a daily challenge. By taking this bold step, the Vice-Chancellor has demonstrated that effective leadership is not merely about making policies from the office; it is about identifying real challenges, listening to the people, and delivering tangible solutions.
This initiative represents accessibility, convenience, efficiency, safety, and improved campus mobility. It is a laudable intervention that can significantly reduce transportation stress and help students move around the university environment with greater ease.
