Greetings everyone, most especially to all those who are harboring intention to vie for elective positions in the fast approaching 2018 /2019 separate cum general elections, especially those aspiring to represent their respective people in the ward, local government and at the state level.
Its pellucidly obvious that your intentions/interests may be legally recognized and binded in consonance with the electoral requirements and provisions as mandated and buttressed by the constitution of the federal republic of Nigeria, but honestly, before you come and squander that your little savings, as you about to embark on this either successful or futile political mission, humbly and rationally put into consideration its attendant consequences, now or the future, scrutinize your conscience if you truly worth the political position you are eyeing and wishing to aspire for, ask yourself if the visible impact you have made in your community, family, friends, neighbors and within worth public supports.
If you are not abreastly informed of the fact that most of people who constitute the contemporary society are becoming more socialized, civilized than the previous and that those in the remote areas, who were in time past deceived by the tactical deceptive political class has now advanced mentally, technologically and electorally, you better know now. Gone are those days you came home to deceived them with your token, peanut, branded soap, tin/powder milk, sugar, Maggi and your empty promises.
Remember, we are now in a reformed polarized society where almost all the young people sort for themselves first hands information about their electoral system and global happenings with the aid of social media via just a hundred naira data and tecno, Itel, Gionee etc handful java phones, unlike in the past where one has to visit newspaper’s vendors, and as well listen to radio before one could access and disseminate information. We are no longer bereaved of information and communication strategies any longer. With the advent of browsing phones, electronic gadgets, social media platforms such as Facebook, Whatsapp, Twitter, Instagram, website and other electronic mails etc, available information can now be disseminated within seconds to million people, if there is no network obstruction without much required effort and resources.
As for all the failed and atrocious past political office occupants who are coming to re-seek the votes of those they contributed in impoverishing and relegation process, we are waiting for you all, disappointment awaits you all by God’s grace. There is an adage in Igala which goes thus : Ajoro ela aika’gbenyo, amuda’ ajachiku ‘yaikagbenyo ” this simply means that,” those who ate flesh easily forget than those who ate bone(s).
If you think your evil against humanity has easily been forgotten, come and get your meritorious disgrace by God’s grace. That will in addition serve as deterrent to other public office occupants.
As for the incumbent public office holders who are failing in the discharge of their duties, obligations and democratic dividends to the electorates, you have to change strategies and redouble your efforts as your scorecard will determine your re-election back to office in 2019. You do not need much magic and it will no longer be free ride on anyone’s tsunami to power anymore.
We are pleading with all the aspirants to make their interest and intention known on time, even if it’s not official yet to ease critical observation and scrutinization of their recorded antecedents by the electorates. Those who have no hidden interest, dirty records and skeleton in their cupboard don’t wait for 2 or 3 weeks to election before making their intention public. And if you think you can take people unaware and unpreparedly as usual, wait for the reward.
