Wife of the Kogi State Governor, Hajia Sefinat Usman Ododo, has extended heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah in Kogi State on the occasion of Eid-el-Adha, urging citizens to reflect on the values of sacrifice, patience, and obedience to Allah.

In her message, the First Lady emphasized the deep spiritual significance of the celebration, drawing inspiration from the obedience of Prophet Ibrahim and his son, Ismail.

“As we journey through life, we must embrace patience and sacrifice, trusting in Allah’s divine wisdom to guide our paths. His blessings can transform our circumstances for the better,” she affirmed.

Hajia Sefinat called on the people of Kogi State to demonstrate kindness and compassion by extending support to those in need so that everyone can share in the joy and warmth of the season.

“Charity is vital during this period. Let us share our joy by reaching out to those facing challenges, bringing smiles to their faces and warmth to their hearts,” she said.

She also stressed the importance of unity, peace, and love for humanity, describing Eid-el-Adha as a time for fostering togetherness and social harmony.

The First Lady appealed to parents and guardians to be vigilant during the festivities, advising young people to avoid social vices and urging them to uphold strong moral values.

Mrs. Ododo called for continued prayers for Kogi State and Nigeria, stating that peace, love, and harmony are essential for sustainable development and lasting prosperity.
