The Okun Concern Citizens have formed a committee to welcome Hon. Prof Abdulsalam Nasir Naeem, the newly appointed Managing Director of Ajaokuta Steel Company. The committee, comprising esteemed members, aims to showcase the community’s appreciation for Prof Naeem’s achievement.
In a statement signed by Dr Kamal Toyin, Head of Publicity, Okun Concern Citizens, Chief Olatunji Olusoji will head the finance committee. Hon. Funsho Olumoko heads the contact and mobilization committee and will be deputized by Hon Omotayo Ishaya. Hon Dayo Akanmode is the Financial Secretary/Treasurer of the committee among others.
Dr. Kamal assured that the committee is working tirelessly to ensure a grand reception.
“The event promises to be an exciting celebration, with entertainment handled by Mr Adetayo Opeyemi Duke and Mrs Toyin Kosoko. Amb Oladele John Nihi will lead youth mobilisation efforts, while Hon. Boye Bello serves as General Coordinator.
“The immediate past ALGON chairman of Kogi State, Dr Taofiq Isah is the Chairman of planning committee while Mr Wale Olumobi will serve as the secretary
“The event which will be chaired by His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello has the Executive Governor of Kogi State, His Excellency Usman Ahmed Ododo as the distinguished special guest of honour while Prince Olusola Akanmode is the guest speaker. The Obaro of Kabba, Oba Dele Owoniyi and the Olujumu of Ijumu Kingdom, Oba Olusegun Ayeni are the royal fathers of the day. Chief Mrs Folashade Joseph will serve as the chairperson of the day
“This gathering demonstrates the community’s support for Prof Naeem’s leadership at Ajaokuta Steel Company. The reception is expected to strengthen bonds and foster unity among community members.
“With a strong team in place, the Okun Concern Citizens are poised to host a memorable event that will honor Prof Naeem’s achievement and showcase the community’s hospitality,” the statement added.
