The Omala Women Forum has expressed deep sorrow over the passing of Chief Suleiman Abimaje, the District Head and Onu of Abejukolo.
Chief Abimaje died on Saturday.
In a statement signed by Chief Alima Abuh, Iye Ebulejonu (Ñyété), the Forum said Chief Abimaje was more than a traditional ruler to them.
“He was a fatherly figure whose wisdom, strength, and guidance shaped the course of our lives and community. His unwavering support for the Omala women was a source of inspiration and encouragement. He stood as a pillar of unity and a voice of reason, always offering wise counsel and steady leadership.
“We are devastated by this colossal loss. The entire women of Omala are in deep grief, as his absence has left a void that words cannot express. It is our prayer that the Almighty grants us and the entire community the strength and courage to bear this painful loss.
“May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace. His legacy of wisdom and fatherly love will forever remain in our hearts,” the statement added.
