Senator representing Kogi Central, Barr Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, stormed her Ihima country home in a helicopter to fulfil her promise to visit constituents on Tuesday.

She was welcomed by a massive crowd of supporters who thronged her Ihima residence in Okehi local government area of Kogi state.

Addressing the cheering crowd in her native Egbira language, Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan reaffirmed her commitment to her people and dismissed attempts to intimidate her.

“Nobody and nothing can stop me from coming to my home. I am an Ebira woman; this is my land. I am the daughter of the late Dr. Jimoh Abdul Akpoti. I know my roots; I am not a bastard, and I am not afraid of anybody,” she said.

Speaking on the ban on convoys and rallies by Kogi state government, the Senator affirmed her respect for the Governor’s directive.

“I’m not a law breaker. I appreciate the governor’s orders. We came by helicopter and not by road. No convoy, we are not in the streets, so we didn’t break the law.”
