Okun Development Association (ODA) has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Obaro of Kabba and Chairman of the Okun Traditional Council, His Royal Majesty, Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, on the passing of his wife, Her Royal Highness, Olori Marie Ige Owoniyi.

In a statement signed by the President General, Ambassador Akenson Rotimi, ODA said Olori Owoniyi’s sudden passage leaves a void that will be difficult to fill, considering her invaluable roles as a mother, wife, and pillar of support for His Royal Majesty.

“On behalf of the Okun Development Association National Executive Council and Okun people worldwide, we offer our heartfelt condolences to His Royal Majesty Oba Solomon Dele Owoniyi, the Obaro of Kabba and the Chairman of Okun Traditional Council, the Kabba community, and all Okun people on the passing of our beloved mother, Olori Marie Owoniyi.

“While we mourn her loss, we take comfort in her remarkable legacy of public service, community impact, and selfless humanity. Her life was a testament to the truth that it’s not the length of life, but the depth of its impact.

“We pray for His Royal Majesty, the entire family, and the Okun people, asking for strength and solace during this difficult time. May her memory continue to inspire us all,” the statement read.
