Lawmaker representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, on Saturday, visited petty traders in Kogi central markets and provided them with cash token of 10,000 naira each as financial support for their petty businesses.
While at home for the groundbreaking of the five mini LNG plants in Ajaokuta, the Senator took the opportunity to visit some markets in the district.
She personally visited two of the largest markets namely Ihima Central Market Oboroke and Bariki Market in Okene where she interfaced with the traders, inquired into their concerns and handed enveloped monies running to millions of naira.
Her first stop was the livestock market where indigenes as well as the Hausa/Fulani cattle traders were empowered . After which she stopped by the chicken section of the market before proceeding to the blacksmith section.
Senator Uduaghan thereafter conducted a tour of the major market where traders in their numbers trouped out to exchange pleasantries with their senator while offering prayers and reaffirming their continuous support for her leadership.
Senator Akpoti-Uduaghan emphasized that the financial support aims to assist the struggling petty traders and reiterated her commitment to visiting more markets within the district.
She reaffirmed her dedication to bringing the best of democratic dividends to Kogi Central senatorial district.
