Operatives of the Kogi State Vigilante Service (KSVS) has apprehended a suspected kidnapper in Ikefi community, Igalamela-Odolu local government area of the state.
In a statement issued by the HOD, ICT/Media, S.O. Saka on Saturday, the suspected kidnapper, Abdullahi Abubakar, was nabbed by the Igalamela Command of the vigilante service.
According to KSVS, the suspect, found in possession of a wooden toy gun, was apprehended on Friday at about 6pm.

“It has been confirmed that kidnappers have been terrorizing the community, forcing farmers off their farm land in an attempt to carry out abductions. The swift response of the vigilante operatives led to the arrest of the suspect,” the statement added.
The suspect, along with the recovered exhibit, has been handed over to the Nigeria Police Force, Idah Area Command, for further investigation and necessary legal action.
The Kogi State Vigilante Service reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of all communities within the state.
