The Deputy Leader of the House of Representatives and Member Representing Ankpa, Omala and Olamaboro Federal Constituency of Kogi State, Rt. Hon. Abdullahi Ibrahim Halims has felicitated with the fifth Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo the occasion of his birthday.
The Deputy Leader in a statement issued by His Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Comrade Muhammed Nasiru Adejoh, described the Governor as a golden fish that has no hidden habitat.
Among other things, Rep. Halims acknowledged the timely payment of salaries by His Excellency Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo and other infrastructural projects such as the Kogi State University as legacy deeds that will stand the test of time.
While acknowledging the Governor’s sterling performance within a short time in office, Rep. Halims noted with delight that the deliberate efforts to consolidate on the gains of the former’s predecessor while putting in place other people oriented programs are a rare virtue that is highly commendable.
Furthermore, the Deputy House Leader wished the celebrant many more fruitful years and commended the wisdom of the immediate past Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Yahaya Bello on his choice of successor adding that in Gov Ododo, the people of Kogi State are well pleased. He thereafter called on well meaning Kogites to put aside sectional interests and support the Governor for the greater good of the State.
