Omala Women Forum Holds Year-End Meeting, Offers Prayers for Gov Ododo, Others

The Omala Women Forum convened for their final meeting of the year on December 9, 2024, at Abejukolo, the headquarters of Omala Local Government Area in Kogi State.

The gathering, marked by fervent prayers and impactful discussions, focused on the well-being of the local government and its leadership. At the meeting, prayers were offered at Abejukolo for the peace and prosperity of Omala and for the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo, in recognition of his commitment to ensuring the security of lives and properties in the area.

Prayers were also offered for the Executive Chairman of Omala LGA, the House of Assembly member representing Omala State Constituency, Hon. Umar Yahaya and traditional leaders.

A highlight of the event was a talk on family peaceful coexistence delivered by Mrs. Ameh of the Ife Development Association, alongside a health awareness session.

Chief Hon. Alima G. Abuh, the leader of the Omala Women Forum, who is known for her philanthropic traits, showed her commitment to supporting the community by blessing widows with essential items. Gifts such as wrappers, household supplies, mosquito nets, and shea butter cream were distributed, with special consideration for the elderly.

The women’s group expressed gratitude to the Kogi State Governor for his commitment to ensuring the security of lives and properties in Omala LGA. They also commended the Executive Chairman of Omala LGA, Hon. Mark Edibo Ameh, for his continuous support and positive contributions to their initiatives.

The year-end meeting showcased the dedication of the Omala Women Forum to fostering unity, empowering women, and strengthening community ties across the local government area.
