Kogi state government will on Tuesday unveil logo of its maiden International Carnival.
Kogi Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mrs. Acharu Okpanachi, disclosed this in Lokoja on Monday.
The Commissioner noted that the unveiling was part of activities to mark the 33rd anniversary of the creation of Kogi State.
She stated that Governor Usman Ododo will perform the unveiling ceremony, adding that the International Carnival, which is first of its kind, will hold in November this year.
She stated that the diverse cultures of the State will be projected during the programme, saying the Ministry is developing a Tourism Roadmap that other States will emulate.
Mrs Okpanachi thanked the Governor for the demonstrating political will to develop the sector.
She said the programme also geared towards tapping into the tourism potentials of the State to attract tourists from all walks of life.
